The EA price will be cheaper than full release, so keep that in mind if you're really planning to grab this game. Most NPCs still need their stories completed, but those that have stories for them are really fun and engaging and better written than Portia. It has a nice gameplay loop and the main story is about 1/3 complete. The current state of the game is limited, but full of content to hold you over for about 20-ish hours (according to people who time these sorts of games). It's just really early to release due to it lacking content. A variety of non-player characters (NPCs) can be found in My Time at Sandrock.Not all of the characters are available from the start of Beta Access (which has now ended) or Early Access, but more characters, character-specific content, and social interactions will be added as the game is further developed. What's in the Early Access Version My Time at Sandrock 's Early Access version will include around 30 hours of content, ranging from main story missions, side quests, NPC romance. A lot of us Kickstarter backers have seen it, and those who backed a certain price point are playing it as we speak. Before getting into the details, keep in mind that the Early Access version of My Time at Sandrock will only be available on PC, while the full version is supposed to be launched on PS4.
